On 11 - 13th April, 2018 the International competition «Macaroni builder-2018» took place at the St.-Petersburg state university architecture and civil engineering.
The competition has been held for the eleventh time. At the opening ceremony participants were wished good luck by the pro-rector on study of SPSUACE
- G.Golovina, the pro-rector on external relations and world policy I.J.Lapina, the dean of the Faculty of Engineering Ecology and Municipal Economy E.A.Shesterov. By tradition, competitions were held in two nominations: «Highest construction. Towers» and « Construction with the greatest flight. Bridges». As building materials there were used only macaroni and plasticine. The jury estimated works by several criteria: architectural expressiveness, functionality, profitability, stability, durability.
According to organizers, 150 packs of macaroni had been bought for the competition , but it was not enough: the present competition differed a considerable quantity of participants. To test yourselves in macaronibuilding there arrived students from different cities of Russia, and also from Minsk (Byelorussia). The senior generation of macaroni builders got a challenge by young participants - the Petersburg schoolboys from «School № 109» and « School № 87».
On the balustrade of the main lounge of SPSUACE where the competitions took place, the spirit of passion and mutual assistance reigned. After all, as the dean of the Faculty of Engineering Ecology and Municipal Economy E.A.Shesterov said, the core of this competition - friendship, professionalism and competence.
Winners in a nomination "Tower":
I place – a team «There was a thing» (SPSUACE, St.-Petersburg);
II place - a team «Hand of god» (BGNU, Minsk);
III place - a team "Monolith" (SPSUACE, St.-Petersburg).
Winners in a nomination "Bridges":
I place - a team "Young builders" (MGTU of G.I.Nosov, Magnitogorsk);
II place - a team "Makaronniki" ( MGASK, Minsk);
III place - a team « National team ADA» (TvGu, Tver).
A team « MARHI 2» (MARHI, Moscow) won in a nomination «The most original design».
Teams «№ 87» (School № 87) and «109 macaronies » (school № 109) are noted in a special nomination «For a will to win», and were awarded with certificates of appreciation and costly presents by «Association of builders of St.-Petersburg».
