Road Economy Workers' Day
The third Sunday in October is the Road Economy Workers' Day. In 2022 the holiday is celebrated on 16 October.

Roads are one of the most important parts of infrastructure. Hundreds of thousands of kilometers of roads connect Russian cities. Hundreds of thousands of people work in the road sector. The development of the country depends on the development level of the road network.
Saint Petersburg State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering provides education to future highly qualified specialists in the road, bridge, automotive, design, manufacturing and mechanical industries. Students master innovative technologies, practice at leading road transport enterprises, and engage in scientific and inventive activities. Scientists' researches are aimed at improving the quality of road works and are widely used in practice.
✔ The department of roads, bridges and tunnels of the SPbGASU faculty of civil engineering implements a differentiated scheme for the training of road transport infrastructure construction engineers, cooperates with more than 30 design and construction organizations.
On 7 October, the SPbGASU faculty of automobile and road building celebrated its 75th anniversary. At the faculty there is a car club, whose members defend the honor of the university in motor sports competitions, a driving school, a station for instrumental technical control of vehicles, and a road mobile laboratory.
