Russia and Finland Presented a Joint Project at Labour Forum

Project SAFECON was presented at International Labour Forum in Saint Petersburg. SAFECON is intended to decrease traumatism in construction.

SPbGASU showed an information board about scientific and education activity in occupational safety

Traumatism in construction is a severe problem which must be solved as soon as possible. Project SAFECON is essential due to one of the government plans according to which six million families are to get a flat till 2030. We consequently expect construction boom and accident increase because of growing number of workers.

We started discussing the project in 2015 and had a long period of planning. I believe it was a good beginning, because we have progressed immensely for the last four months.

Training centres and Safety parks are organized as part of the Project and one of such parks is going to be created at SPbGASU. One would learn about injury-causing hazards from worksite models and online. Such method is quite efficient as people try to be more careful after visiting these classes.
