SAFECON Project Management Group Discusses Its Progress
On February 20, 2019, a meeting of SAFECON Project management group took place in Pushkin Leningrad State University where the progress of the project implementation was discussed.
The aim of the SAFECON is to develop safety system at the construction sites in Saint Petersburg, Leningrad Oblast and South-East Finland. This project is sponsored by the European Union, Russia, and Finland.

The participants of the meeting were:
- Kirsi Taivalantti – Project Leader of Project SAFECON, Dean of Department of Technology of Saimaa University of Applied Sciences,
- Vitaly Tsaplin – SAFECON Project Head Manager in SPbGASU, Head of the Department of Technosphere Safety,
- Sonja Miettinen – Coordinator of South-East Finland-Russia Cross-border cooperation programme,
- Ekaterina Kuznetsova – Expert of Project Representation Programmes in Saint Petersburg,
- Project team leaders from Saimaa University of Applied Sciences, South-Easter Finland University of Applied Sciences (XAMK) and Pushkin Leningrad State University.
What changes will SPbGASU face?
SPbGASU will become a base for Safety Park – a new training centre on construction enterprises in Saint Petersburg, Leningrad Oblast and Finland.
