In December, 2017 the Championship of St.-Petersburg among students of high schools on sambo-wrestling took place in the Track and field athletics arena on Krestovsky island. The team of SPSUACE on combat sambo won a champion title.

The team included athletes: Balikoev Robert (АДМиТ-2), Grachev Dmitry (1-TTP-3), Grigoryan David (ПМХ-3), Dzhenetov Mail (the graduate of 2017), Kopejko Felix (2М-3), Miminoshvili Ioveli (2-E-4), Omonov Sardor (12-S-2), Pagaev Aslanbek (3-SUZS-5), Sultanov Rasulbek (4-EB-2), Tujaa Turbat (6-S-3).

The captain of the team - Mail Dzhenetov, the quadruple champion of St.-Petersburg among students, the champion of St.-Petersburg in 2015, the master of sports of Russia on combat sambo.

 Felix Kopejko and David Grigoryan became champions in their weight categories. Aslanbek Pagaev received a vice-champion rank.

In a personal offset on sports sambo a first-year student Vyacheslav Zaharov (2-GR-1) became the champion of St.-Petersburg among students of high schools, Daniel Goncharov (3-JU-2) won bronze.
