The international CSS Design Awards is one of the most prestigious awards in the field of web development, which is highly rated in professional circles. The English-language version of the website of the National Olympiad for schoolchildren in Architecture (National Olympiad: Be an architect), held by SPbGASU, was submitted to the competition by the developer company - the Internet agency "Paraveb" (Tomsk). The jury, consisting of international experts who particularly distinguished themselves in the field of web development, evaluated the competition entries according to three criteria: design, ergonomics and innovation.

The design of the English version was slightly adapted to the target audience of foreign users. In addition, when creating the site, the developers used various special effects to attract the attention of schoolchildren (for example, animated emoji and the “parallax” effect, in which objects move at different speeds, due to which the site creates the feeling of a background).

By the decision of the jury, the English version of the Be an architect website received an award for the best UX/UI design. In addition, the Olympiad website was awarded the Special Kudos prize, which recognises exemplary and professional work. More details about the winning project can be found on the award website.

To recall, last year the website of the Schoolchildren Olympiad was honored with the prestigious Russian digital-prize Tagline Awards, where it took first place in the category “Best website for children/youth/youth”.
