On 14 December, the SPbGASU International Students Council summed up the results of the autumn semester 2024/2025.

The meeting began with a speech by Vice-Rector for Educational Activity Sergey Mikhailov, who singled out the ISC as an effective student structure, which is one of the university's successful projects. It was noted that the ISC best represents SPbGASU at various all-Russian and international venues.

The Chairman of the SPbGASU International Students Council Antonia Angelova delivered a welcoming speech and, on behalf of the ISC active members, expressed sincere gratitude to Sergey Vladimirovich Mikhailov and the management of SPbGASU for their support and assistance.

Deputy Chairman of the ISC Aigul Orazdurdyeva reported on the successes of the ISC representatives at the All-Russian Gathering of Interethnic Clubs: Antonia Angelova became a 2nd-degree laureate in the nomination "Best Leader of Interethnic Friendship Clubs" ("InterethnicLeader2024"), and the International Students Council became a finalist in the "InterethnicClub2024" and "InterethnicProject2024" categories. In addition, the ISC took part in the off-site event of the St Petersburg Youth House "World Bridges: A Journey Through Cultures". Representatives of the International Students Council took part in the International Youth Forum "Unifying - Strengthening". Deputy Chairman of the ISC Sabrinahon Solehzoda and the chief organizer Murodali Niyozov took part in the forum, which was held with the support of Rosmolodezh. The event took place in Omsk and was dedicated to interethnic harmony and strengthening friendship between students.

Head of the Media Unit Myakhri Niyazova and Deputy Chairman of the ISC Aigul Orazdurdyeva were among the best students from the CIS countries for 2024, recognized by the Government of St Petersburg. Aigul was also among the winners of the Student of the Year 2024 competition in the higher education system.

The participants summed up the results of the Council’s events and projects.

The beginning of the academic year marked the successful initiation of first-year students. The ISC Eco-Tusa project collected about 1,300 kg of waste paper as part of the all-Russian campaign "BoomBattle 2024". Activists of the International Students Council went on a one-day tour "The Nature of Karelia: Four Waterfalls and a Boat Cruise on the Ladoga Skerries" (the ISC Mini-Tour project). As part of the Russian Conversation Club, students regularly communicated in an informal setting, held educational games, participated in city events aimed at overcoming the language barrier and making new acquaintances.

At the end of the ceremony, Sergey Mikhailov awarded the activists of the International Students Council for their active work and contribution to the development of extracurricular student activities of SPbGASU foreign students.
