Members of the SPbGASU International Students Council took part in the All-Russian meeting of interethnic student clubs, which took place in Moscow on 6–8 December at the State University of Management. More than 150 representatives of universities from all over Russia took part in the event. SPbGASU was represented by the Chairperson of the International Students Council of our university Antonia Angelova, Deputy Chairperson Aigul Orazdurdyeva, Head of the Media Department Myakhri Niyazova and the organizer of the ISC Soykan Şentürk.
The rally included an award ceremony for participants in the All-Russian competition of interethnic student clubs "Unity in Diversity 2024". Antonia Angelova became a 2nd-degree laureate in the nomination "Best leader of interethnic friendship clubs". The SPbGASU International Students Council became a finalist in the "Interethnic Club 2024" and "Interethnic Project 2024" categories.
The goal of the meeting is to strengthen unity and friendship in the student environment through the development of a network of interethnic friendship clubs in higher education institutions.
As part of the held "panel discussion" the participants were divided into groups to discuss issues of developing interethnic clubs. Over the course of several days, the teams shared their work experience, identified problems that are relevant for interethnic clubs, and proposed ways to solve them.
State Duma deputies, members of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation, and heads of federal government bodies acted as experts at the event.
