Training seminar of the Center for Employment of the Population of St Petersburg

On 2–3 May, SPbGASU hosted the "Build a Career" 2023 forum, during which students met with representatives of 13 companies to get up-to-date information about the labor market, outline options for practical studies, internships and further employment.

The forum program included an exhibition, lectures and other events. We asked company representatives what requirements are currently imposed on young professionals.

“We are looking for involved, ready to develop specialists with flexible skills,” said Natalia Zelenkova, Head of Human Resources at KVS-STROY. The company invites students for practical studies and internships, and starting from the fourth year, it employs them in starting positions.

“The ideal graduate is a curious, work-hungry specialist who strives to conquer heights,” says Sofia Khudeyeva, Head of Personnel Development at SUE Vodokanal of St Petersburg. The enterprise organizes introductory and production practices for students and offers employment to those who have received a diploma.

“We are looking for motivated young specialists who are ready for professional development,” said Sergey Mikhailenko, Head of the Recruitment, Analysis and Development Sector of St Petersburg State Budgetary Institution Mostotrest. The enterprise actively cooperates with the university on the issues of practice and employment.

The forum was attended by companies with which the university has been cooperating for many years, as well as new partners. So, Nikita Khudzinsky, Head of PERI LLC for the North-Western Federal District, invited students to study at the PERI Academy and take part in the PERI All-Russian Championship. Representatives of the construction equipment supplier introduced the students to PERI products and projects, talked about the opportunities for professional and career growth, and held a quiz.

According to students, the forum not only helps to find a dream job, but also motivates them to continue developing in the profession.
