SPbGASU and Immanuel Kant BFU Are Joining Forces to Train Professionals

On 6 December, 2023, employees of the Immanuel Kant Baltic Federal University (Kaliningrad) came for a short-term internship at SPbGASU. The four-day program includes a discussion of a draft agreement between the two universities.

The subject of the agreement is cooperation of mutual interest in the field of education, science and joint projects/programs with the aim of training professionals in demand in the labor market and capable of easily adapting to the modern economy.

  • The parties intend to jointly develop educational programs and programs of additional professional education, assessment materials for testing the level of mastery of professional competencies; organize educational and industrial training, including pre-graduation practice and internships; involve employees into the educational process; disseminate information about scientific research and form a personnel reserve from among the best students.

Irina Liberman, director of the Higher School of Cyber-Physical Systems at IKBFU, said: “The internship became an incentive for first place in the master’s program “Civil Engineering” in the competition of educational programs at IKBFU. Our university entered into a pilot project to design its own standards and new models of education. As part of the internship, I would like to exchange opinions with colleagues on this issue.”.

SPbGASU Vice-Rector for Research Evgeny Korolev emphasized: teachers of SPbGASU and IKBFU have been interacting for more than one year. Now this interaction is reaching the university level, and our university is counting on positive and consistent movement forward.
