On 21 September, at the St Petersburg State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering, an agreement was signed between SPbGASU represented by First Vice-Rector Svetlana Golovina, and the National Water and Wastewater Association, represented by Executive Director Artyom Krupenko.

The signing ceremony was attended by SPbGASU Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Sergey Mikhailov, Dean of the Faculty of Environmental Engineering and Municipal Services Inna Sukhanova, Head of the Department of Water Use and Environment Svyatoslav Fedorov.

Agreement execution

The agreement involves, in particular, the joint development of practice-oriented educational programs and assessment materials to determine the level of development of students’ professional competencies; conducting all types of internships for students and completing their final qualifying works at NWWA; formation of a personnel reserve for work in the NWWA from among the best students; organizing events for professional guidance of youth and much more.

• Svetlana Golovina expressed hope for successful cooperation between the two organizations.
• Sergey Mikhailov noted that SPbGASU and NWWA have been building cooperation for more than a year. NWWA President Svetlana Gafarova is a member of the expert council of the university’s curriculum development council.
• Artyom Krupenko shared the association’s plans for the future.
• Svyatoslav Fedorov, who is responsible for interaction with the NWWA under the agreement, emphasized the importance of the signed document in the interests of training highly qualified and socially responsible personnel.
