The appearance of St Petersburg was created by outstanding architects. Among them are those whose fates are connected with our university. The creations of graduates of the oldest Russian higher educational institution of architecture and construction profile invariably appeal to the admiration of guests and residents of the Northern capital.
To build a city, not only architects are needed, but also constructors, road and bridge builders. From the walls of our university came more than one generation of brilliant engineers who made a great contribution to the development of St Petersburg.
Nowadays, SPbGASU graduates and teachers participate in important projects for the city, help develop scientifically based urban planning solutions, preserve the architectural heritage of the St Petersburg historical center and its suburbs, conduct examinations, surveys and engineering-geological surveys, laboratory and field studies.
