This year, SPbGASU took part in the federal patriotic project of the Russian Ministry of Education and Science “Scientific Regiment”. The project is intended to perpetuate the memory of teachers, graduates, students - those who fought on the fronts of the Great Patriotic War and worked in the rear.

As part of the project, on the SPbGASU official website, we published 18 articles about war participants and workers of besieged Leningrad, whose professional life in different years and even centuries was connected with our educational institution. Each article is the story of the glorious military journey of a professor or student, graduate or civil engineer, who went to the front straight fr om the university or workplace, remained in besieged Leningrad and made an invaluable contribution to the defense of his native city.

Information about our military heroes of the 1940s is now available in the “Victory in Faces” depositary, where the SPbGASU official webpage has been opened. The list of names of veterans of the Great Patriotic War will be updated.
