Many organizations, including our university, joined the all-Russian event “Healthy Lifestyle Marathon”. The goal of the campaign is to attract people to a healthy lifestyle and exercise. The SPbGASU sports club “LISY” ("foxes") held two open training sessions.
The first was interval training using the Tabata method, which is used in most of the club’s classes. It took place on 29 February. Tabata training is a set of intense exercises that are performed with limited breaks and a maximum number of repetitions. In addition, at this training, everyone was shown some of the sports cultivated at our university, performed by the mascot of SPbGASU athletes - the Fox.
- At the second training session on 6 March, participants performed general applied physical exercises, aimed at developing physical qualities such as strength, speed, endurance, flexibility, coordination and agility.
The director of the SPbGASU sports club “LISY” Oksana Safonova shared her impressions of the event: “We are participating in this event for the first time. The guys were very pleased that our mascot Fox conducted a training session with us. I only had positive emotions from the event!”
