Higher School Teacher's Day is celebrated in Russia on 19 November. The holiday was established in 2021 by order of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation. The date was chosen in honor of the birthday of the great scientist and educator Mikhail Vasilyevich Lomonosov, one of the founders of Russian higher education.

The work of a university teacher requires wisdom, sensitivity, dedication, the ability to keep up with the times and constantly develop. Representatives of this profession have high goals: to captivate students with science, awaken in them the desire for knowledge, and reveal their potential. This is creative and, at the same time, very responsible work, because university teachers train the future generation of specialists who will have to solve problems to achieve national goals.
