SPbGASU, Nanosoft and SySoft Development companies have developed a roadmap for teaching Russian information modeling technologies. The document provides for the replacement of training software systems fr om foreign manufacturers with domestic solutions and the development of appropriate methodological support. The project is being implemented under the decision of the Government of the Russian Federation to completely replace foreign software with Russian one.

SPbGASU’s partners in implementing the roadmap are domestic companies Nanosoft and SySoft Development, which develop engineering software. As part of the cooperation, a number of practical steps have already been taken: since 2022, an authorized training center of the Nanosoft Academy has been operating at SPbGASU, wh ere students master information modeling technologies.

New agreements on joint educational activities between SPbGASU, Nanosoft and SySoft Development in the format of a road map suggest:

• improving the resource provision of disciplines of basic professional educational programs in the direction of “Civil Engineering”;
• development of educational and methodological complexes of disciplines, the material and technical support of which involves the use of domestic software;
• updating educational programs of additional professional education and additional professional programs;
• advanced training of teachers to the status of “Instructor for software products of the nanoCAD line (Nanosoft)”;
• conducting joint career guidance events;
• assistance in conducting practical training and employment of students;
• attracting SPbGASU students to beta testing of individual nanoCAD modules.

“From 1 July, 2024, it will become mandatory to create an information model for each capital construction project under government order. This requires a systematic transition to domestically developed information modeling technologies (TIM). The SPbGASU road map is real steps towards import substitution of engineering software and the formation of a pool of specialists for the implementation of technical information technologies. Such steps can and should be taken by every specialized university that sensibly assesses the future realities of the Russian construction industry,” noted Mikhail Bocharov, Deputy General Director for Science at CSoft Development JSC, at the signing of the agreement.

“We are excited to share application experience in digital design and create educational opportunities for future professionals. In this way, we are contributing to the digital transformation of the construction industry and accelerating the spread of the practice of using Russian solutions in the field of design automation and information modeling. The more specialists with digital competencies graduate from universities, the faster technological sovereignty will be achieved in key areas of the domestic economy,” said Oleg Egorychev, director of programs for the development of interaction with educational and scientific organizations of Nanosoft Development LLC.

“The activities of our university are aimed at solving the problems of modern Russian industrial and civil construction. We quickly respond to current requests and trends, introducing new programs into basic and additional education courses. The relevance of the work on integrating Russian engineering software into our educational modules is confirmed by requests from students. Interest in the professions of TIM engineers is high today, and the university is creating every opportunity so that future specialists can receive the necessary training and practical experience at the university,” emphasized Svetlana Golovina, SPbGASU first vice-rector.

• "CiSoft Development" is a Russian developer of CAD and TIM/BIM engineering software, integrated solutions for mechanical engineering, industrial and civil construction, architectural design, land management, electronic document management, processing of scanned drawings, vectorization and hybrid editing.
