Our university was represented by members of the student scientific society “Architecture and Geometry in a Sustainable World” Edgar Barseghyan, Ekaterina Buryak, Danil Latypov, Angelina Makrenko, Ekaterina Kozlova, Tatiana Krylova, Elena Sedunova and Elizaveta Tkachenko. The delegation was headed by employees of the Department of Descriptive Geometry and Engineering Graphics, Associate Professor Yuliana Guryeva and Senior Lecturer Olga Melnikova.
Students made their reports at the XXXII International Scientific and Practical Conference “Scientific potential of organizational and management engineering in the sustainable development of investment, construction and housing and communal services complexes”.
Ekaterina Buryak with her report “The problem of construction of buildings and structures in permafrost conditions: analysis of foreign experience” received first place. “The search for optimal approaches to construction on permafrost soils is of great importance for our country. During the research, I analyzed foreign literature revealing the problem of construction in permafrost conditions in Canada, Alaska, Norway, and examined the methods of constructing foundations proposed by foreign experts for the possibility of their integration with domestic experience,” said Ekaterina.
Second place went to Elizaveta Tkachenko with her report “Domestic and foreign software systems for generating 3D models when calculating structures and their elements.” “I reviewed the most common complexes for 3D modeling and calculations, gave brief descriptions of their features and methods of transferring data between them and other TIM programs,” said the author of the work.
Also second place went to Ekaterina Kozlova for her report “Development of underground construction in St Petersburg in the context of historical buildings.” “The work is based on the study of transport, social and environmental problems solved by underground construction, analysis of methods and technologies of underground construction based on implemented projects, and also identification of the main factors hindering the development of underground construction,” she noted.
Tatyana Krylova prepared a report on the topic “Bionic architecture as a tool for sustainable development.” “In the project, I looked at the problem of finding new approaches to organizing the urban environment using innovative principles based on natural patterns and processes,” said the student.
Edgar Barseghyan made a presentation “Portals in Armenian temple architecture.” “The work is dedicated to the work of Armenian architects and craftsmen and the integration of portals into modern architecture. The scientific and educational congress, held in Astrakhan, warmly received our team; we took part in many programs, listened to other works and performed ourselves,” the student shared.
