Professor at the department of urban planning of the SPbGASU faculty of architecture Andrey Vaytens was elected a corresponding member in the field of urban planning science at the general meeting of the Russian Academy of Architecture and Construction Sciences. Corresponding members are elected from among scientists for outstanding achievements in the development of science.

Andrey Georgievich is a DSc in Architecture, associate professor, participant of international conferences held in foreign higher educational institutions, author of numerous monographs and scientific articles. For many years he has been actively cooperating with the RAACS, in 2011 he was elected its adviser. The professor has been teaching at SPbGASU for 31 years.

In the coming years, I plan to continue doing science and teaching. Assigning the status means not only recognition of my personal contribution to science, but also imposes a certain responsibility, motivates for further work.
