Working meeting on the results of the qualifying stage of the SVE League of the All-Russian TIM Championship of SPbGASU

Implementing the concept of continuous professional education, St Petersburg State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering is strengthening cooperation with colleges. As part of the All-Russian TIM Championship of SPbGASU 2024, from 15 April to 17 May, the qualifying stage of the League of Secondary Vocational Education (SVE League) was held.

The competition was held for the first time. It was attended by 45 students from four colleges: Siberian College of Transport and Construction, Novgorod Construction College, St Petersburg College of Architecture and Civil Engineering, Smolensk Construction College. The general partners of the event were the National Association of Designers and Surveyors (NOPRIZ) and the OsnovaProekt SRO Association. The experts were representatives of specialized companies and teachers from SPbGASU and colleges.

15 teams designed a multifunctional residential complex. A five-story building with a total area of 3000 sq. m. with a guest parking area, landscaping, fire passage and utilities needed to be located on a plot of 900 sq. m. Before starting work, a TIM elective courses were organized for the participants with lectures and practical classes conducted by SPbGASU teachers.

The teams that won the qualifying stage of the All-Russian TIM Championship of SPbGASU presented their projects at the VII International Scientific and Practical Conference “Information Modeling in the Problems of Construction and Architecture” (BIMAC-2024), which was held on 15–17 May, 2024 at SPbGASU.

The winners of the qualifying stage were:

• Novgorod Construction College - Alena Skobeleva, Denis Ivanov, Georgy Strakhov;
• St Petersburg College of Architecture and Civil Engineering – Kristina Nikolaeva, Fyodor Abramov, Andrey Baranov;
• Siberian College of Transport and Construction - Anastasia Koshkareva, Daniil Cherkashin, Egor Ponomarenko;
• Smolensk Construction College - Liya Guryanova, Sergey Manshev, Timofey Srodnikov, Daria Chernoknizhnik.

Following the results of the championship, the participants and organizers held a working meeting, which opened with the signing ceremony of a cooperation agreement between SPbGASU and the Novgorod Construction College. Svetlana Golovina, SPbGASU First Vice-Rector, noted the importance of this event due to the need to maintain the concept of continuous engineering education. Olga Khalepo, director of the Novgorod Construction College, emphasized the common interests of the two educational institutions.

After signing the agreement, an informal exchange of views began. According to Inna Sukhanova, head of the Division for Digital Competence in Construction, initially the organizers counted on the participation exclusively of colleges from the North-West. But it turned out differently, which was pleasing and full of good experience.

According to the championship participants, the competition pushed them to further development. They learned how to work together and became more familiar with the domestic software for integrated design in construction, Renga. Among the difficulties, the high level of tasks was noted.

Viktoria Vinogradova, director of the SPbGASU Institute for Continuing Education and the moderator of the working meeting, invited partners to further interaction.

The event took place within the framework of the federal innovative educational project “Innovative methodology for developing digital professional competencies of students and specialists in the construction industry”.
