SPbGASU specialists have developed and patented a scheme allowing to flush pipelines from sediment with air pressure without any valves.
This system provides automated flushing of pipelines from sediment and controlled removal of polluted air to gas cleaning.
As Svyatoslav Fedorov, head of the SPbGASU Department of Water Use and Environment, explained, there is a problem of silting in the sewerage system, as well as the problem of uncontrolled release of polluted air from wells, which, among other things, has an unpleasant odor, which worsens the quality of the urban environment.
The patented scheme allows you to control the level and flow rate of waste water in the pipe. This ensures the removal of excess forced air without the use of any valves.
Compared to pipelines equipped with control valves, the technical solution proposed by SPbGASU is more energy efficient and reliable.
