The SPbGASU team was one of the three finalists in the competition to create an architectural concept for the modernization of the “Road of Life” memorial landscape complex.
The competition is held by the Urban Development Policy Committee of the Leningrad Region with the support of a grant from the Governor of the Leningrad Region.
“We presented the concept “Unity. Feat. Memory. Hope” for the competition. It is expected that some components of the finalists’ concept will be included in the final modernization project and will be implemented,” said Daria Bobrova, head of the winning project, senior lecturer at the SPbGASU Department of Architectural and Urban Planning Heritage.
The finalists were awarded on 22 November at the St Petersburg Academy of Arts. The team of St Petersburg Mining University was recognized as the winner of the competition. The Moscow Architectural Institute was also among the finalists.
The ten best works of the competition are exhibited in the Italian Hall of the St Petersburg Academy of Arts. The exhibition will last until 25 November.
