On April 6, St Petersburg held the in-person stage of the All-Russian Conference “YOUTH, SCIENCE, CULTURE - North” for 8–11-grade pupils. This year, SPbGASU was chosen the venue.
At the opening of the event, the participants were greeted by Vice-Rector for Educational Activity Sergey Mikhailov. More than 80 participants arrived at the conference: among them 45 students and 18 teachers from different regions of Russia, as well as 11 members of the expert council.
After the ceremonial part, the most important stage awaited the participants, i.e., the defense of projects. Schoolchildren presented the results of their research in the natural sciences, humanities and science and technology.
After the reports, the university guests went on a tour of the university’s iconic places: the guys visited the St Petersburg Brick History Museum and the Scientific and Technical Library.
Schoolchildren took part in a master class on layout, which was conducted by Olga Belousova, Associate Professor at the Department of Architectural Design. SPbGASU students told the guys in detail about both the nuances of admission and studying at the university.
The conference is federal in nature and is included in the list of main projects of the National Educational Program “Intellectual and Creative Potential of Russia” of the Small Academy of Sciences “Intelligence of the Future”.
