On 26 May, SPbGASU summed up the activity of the International Students Council, awarded its active members and the winners of the SPbGASU Ambassador contest. The award ceremony was attended by Angel Antonov, Consul General of the Republic of Bulgaria in St Petersburg.

Opening the event, Vice-Rector for Youth Policy Irina Lugovskaia highly appreciated the work of the International Students Council. Established about five years ago, the ISC interacts with the student council and provides great assistance in the adaptation of foreign freshmen.

Antonia Angelova (Bulgaria), SPbGASU PhD student, the chairman of the International Students Council, reported on the successes of the ISC, including the second and third places in the International Historical School of the Russian Historical Society; development of mobile applications; presentation at the international scientific and practical conference in Minsk "Engineering Business 2022" and the publication of scientific articles in the conference proceedings; participation in the Kazan Model UN (this is a game, the participants of which act as representatives of different countries and defend the interests of their states, based on the current political situation; the organizer is Kazan Federal University with the support of the Russian Association for UN Assistance and the Moscow State Institute (University) of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs RF).
Students Sabrinakhon Solehzoda (Tajikistan) and Aigul Orazdurdyeva (Turkmenistan) informed about ISC projects:
- Kuppia Study Club helps students to better master the Russian language, to get used to the university;
- within the framework of the Russian Language Glub, students communicate in an informal setting, watch films, hold quizzes;
- Mini Tour Club organizes trips. So, in April there was an excursion to Karelia, after which the students had the best impressions;
- a new project - Pamagator Club, which members help foreign students not only within the walls of the university, but also in the city. Earlier this year, activists met students from Peru and Thailand at the airport and escorted them to their hostel;
- in Psychology Club they are always ready to talk, help, listen;
- Math Club helps solve math problems;
- Inter Fam Revit participants hold information technology master classes every week in the university laboratory;
- waste paper is collected by the participants of the Eco Tusa project;
- Inter Fam Camp organized a trip to Komarovo on 13–14 May.
Stanislav Kholyakov, head of the SPbGASU Volunteer Club, and Ksenia Vitsina, head of the Adapters project, spoke about interaction with the International Students Council. Thus, a creative master class was held jointly for orphans and children left without parental care.
Irina Lugovskaia and Svetlana Petrova, head of the International Relations Division, handed diplomas and awards to the ISC active members and SPbGASU Ambassadors.
The first competition "SPbGASU Ambassador" was held by the International Students Council and the International Relations Division. The contestants were required to describe their scientific achievements and how they participated in the life of the university. The commission assessed their success and chose five ambassadors. They were Sabrinahon Solehzoda, Murodali Niyozov, Mirzoakbar Khomidov (Tajikistan), Aigul Orazdurdyeva (Turkmenistan) and Navindu Devaraja (Sri Lanka). We wish them continued success!
The SPbGASU Ambassador is a foreign graduate who knows everything about the university and is ready to share this information with those who are just planning to enter. Ambassadors will tell their friends, relatives, colleagues and acquaintances about the university, promote SPbGASU among foreign applicants. They will have the opportunity to represent our university at events, access to courses and lectures, and support from the university.
