The RAEX agency (“RAEX-Analytics”) published the thirteenth annual rating of the best universities in Russia RAEX-100, part of the “Three Missions of the University” family. During the preparation, statistical indicators were used, as well as the results of surveys of over 130 thousand respondents: representatives of academic and scientific circles, students and graduates, and employers. In 2024, the list of the best included universities from 29 regions of Russia.

The RAEX-100 ranking of the best universities in Russia has been published annually since 2012. When assessing the quality of education in universities (50% weight), the groups of indicators “level of teaching”, “international integration”, “resource provision” and “demand among applicants” were considered. To assess the demand for university graduates by employers (weight 30%), groups of indicators “cooperation with employers” and “quality of career of graduates” were analyzed. The level of university research activity (weight 20%) was determined based on the groups of indicators “research potential”, “scientific achievements” and “research infrastructure”. In total, the ranking uses 43 indicators. Ranking of the best universities in Russia RAEX-100 is the only Russian educational rating that has successfully passed the international audit by IREG Observatory on Academic Ranking and Excellence.

St Petersburg State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering has been participating in this ranking since 2015, gradually improving its position. This year was no exception: the university moved up one position, taking 48th place.
