SPbGASU “Adapters” started training tutors
The SPbGASU Student Council’s “Adapters” project, which combines helping freshmen to adapt to the new setting and a platform for the development of students’ flexible skills, resumed its work on April 13.

In 2019, at the competition of the All-Russian School of Student Self-Government “The 21st Century Leader”, the project was acknowledged as the best in the sphere of mentoring.
The project aims at the following tasks:
- Informing applicants about the university and the rules of admission
- Assistance to freshmen in adapting to the new educational and social environment, in particular, mentor’s (adapter’s) assistance to freshmen during the first two months of training
- Involvement of freshmen in various forms of student activity for the better disclosure of their potential
- Introduction of the project participants to the university, its history and traditions
- Introduction of the project participants to the history and culture of St. Petersburg.
Everyone who wants to become a mentor should get training at the STEP Adapter School to get the skills of teamwork, public speaking, resolving conflicts and study the regulatory framework of higher education.
After several stages of selection and training, the best of the best will go to meet freshmen on August 31.
