SPbGASU advances in international rankings
In October 2019, the results of the subject ranking RUR (Round University Ranking) the regional ranking QS EECA (Emerging Europe and Central Asia QS University Rankings) were published.
The University entered the regional QS EECA ranking for the first time
The QS EECA rating has been compiled by the international rating agency Quacquarelli Symonds since 2014 based on open sources, the Scopus scientometric database and the assessment of international experts. SPbGASU participated in the QS EECA ranking for the first time and ranked 301st.
The University entered the subject rankings of RUR in the
"Natural Sciences" and "Technical Sciences" areas
The international rating RUR was founded in 2013; it annually analyzes the data of more than a thousand universities from 80 countries. The rating methodology is based on 20 indicators that reveal the key areas: teaching, research, international diversity, financial stability. In the subject ranking of RUR in the area of natural sciences, SPbGASU ranked 550th in the world and 31st in Russia, and in the area of technical sciences, it ranked 642nd and 53rd, respectively.
Our university undertakes active steps to advance in the international academic environment and has already achieved first results. Participation in such ratings as QS and RUR is one of the ways to increase the recognition of the university, because more and more often applicants and their parents choose a university according to its position in the ratings. We consider rating research as one of the mechanisms for assessing the quality of education, a tool for analyzing the strengths and weaknesses of our university. So, at present, SPbGASU is participating in the QS Stars program, the results of which will be published in December. We hope that the implementation of this program will be a new impetus in the development of our university.
