“There are imperial universities in Japan and there are only seven of them. Hokkaido University is one of those. By the quality of teaching engineering, it is one of the best. I am involved in architecture and urban planning, and I am very pleased to be here today, because your university is so renowned,” said Professor Tsuyoshi Setoguchi of Hokkaido University.

“I have already visited SPbGASU, and I am very glad to be here again. I am glad that our relations are developing. Our cooperation is essential: Hokkaido is located in the northern part of Japan, we have a lot in common,” said another member of the Japanese delegation, Associate Professor Norihiro Watanabe.

How were the guests hosted at the university?

The guests took a tour around one of the oldest technical universities in Russia, and also held talks with representatives of the administration and faculty of the university. Irina R.
