SPbGASU at the NOSTROY Association conference
On December 6, 2019, a NOSTROY Association conference on the topic of “Actual issues and development trends of modern labor protection management systems in the construction industry” took place at the St. Petersburg Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The event was designed for specialists in labor protection and industrial safety in the field of construction. Representatives of the Ministry of Labor of the Russian Federation, the State Labor Inspectorate of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Construction and Housing and Communal Services of the Russian Federation attended the plenary session of the conference.

✔ From SPbGASU, the conference attended Vitaliy Tsaplin, head of the Technosphere Safety Department and postgraduate student Nadezhda Subbotina; fourth-grade students of the Technosphere Safety Department also were at the conference.
The conference’s speakers on topical issues in the field of labor protection in construction were Alexander Krotov, head of SLI for St. Petersburg, Igor Solovyov, head of SLI for Leningrad Region, and Igor Belyaev, deputy head of SLI for St. Petersburg. Vitaly Tsaplin made a report on the topic “Interactive Coordination and Information System for Training Construction Workers”.
“This training system can become an integral element of the process of training specialists on labor protection issues in the construction industry as part of the SAFECON project. The project is implemented within the framework of the Cross-border Cooperation Program ‘Russia - Southeast Finland 2014-2020’ and is funded by the European Union, the Russian Federation and the Republic of Finland. The proposed training system allows to coordinate the activities of educational institutions and use the "Smart Labor" training ground of SPbGASU in the educational process. It was created exactly to ensure the interaction of students and teachers,” said Vitaliy Tsaplin.
The second part of the conference was held in the format of the interactive brain-ring business game: “Professional risks in construction: identification, assessment, management”. All participants of the event, including conference speakers, were divided into teams that within a short time had to identify violations of labor protection rules in the proposed created scenarios of construction work.
