Dmitry Tishkin, Associate Professor from the Department of Construction Technology, trained the students for the Olympiad.
The Department of Construction Technology started to get ready for the Olympiad in November 2018. Aleksandr Panin, Dean of the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Irina Osipenkova and Olga Stupakova, Senior Lecturers from the Department of Construction Management, helped us a lot. We developed the tasks and organized the first tour of the Olympiad in February 2019. Our department together with the Departments of Construction Management, Reinforced Concrete and Masonry Constructions, Mechanics, Geotechnics, Metal and Timber Constructions, and Architectural Engineering. SPbGASU and our partner company Vertikal provided advisory service and awarded the winners with prizes.
Mkrtich Tonakanyan, Teaching Assistant: ‘The guys took the Olympiad seriously and I helped them as much as I could. This was my first time at such event as supervisor and I enjoyed it immensely though sometimes I felt a lack of experience’.
55 Bachelor’s degree students took part in the Olympiad.
The Olympiad programme included creativity competition and test execution. The participants also had an excursion and learned the history of Voronezh.
The winners hope such events will be held at SPbGASU, because it is not only involving, but also helpful in study of various subjects from Architecture to Construction Management.
