SPbGASU BIM-championship is over

The Saint-Petersburg State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering summed up the results of the intra-university BIM championship, which took place from April 11 to May 11. Six teams took part in it.
Each team included an architect, a design engineer, a heating engineer, a ventilation engineer, a water supply and sanitation engineer, a BIM coordinator, a construction management engineer, and an estimator.
The participants were assigned to reconstruct a multifunctional office center.
In the team standings, the places were distributed as follows:
1st place – Simbioz;
2nd place – DWG.net;
3rd place – «Big BIM theory»;
4th place – BIMteam;
5th place – BIMers;
6th place – «CrushStroy».
The winning team included: architect Mercedes Tropillo (third-year student of the Faculty of Architecture), designer Lilia Khokhlacheva (sixth-year student of the Faculty of Civil Engineering), designer Grigory Krivtsov (third-year student of the Faculty of Civil Engineering), heating engineer Nadezhda Khmeleva, ventilation engineer Maksim Shmelev, water supply and sanitation engineer Idar Bichoev, power supply engineer Dmitry Muzhikov (third-year students of the Faculty of Environmental Engineering and Municipal Services), construction management engineer Ekaterina Lotova (first-year Master’s program student in the Faculty of Civil Engineering), BIM-estimator Aygul Orazdurdyeva (third-year student of the Faculty of Economics and Management), BIM-coordinator Anna Malkhasyan (third-year student of the Faculty of Civil Engineering) and fire safety engineer Anastasia Kanina (third-year student of the Faculty of Automobile and Road Building).
The individual winners are:
- the best water supply and sanitation engineer - Aleksandra Svetlitskaya (third-year student of the FEE&MS);
- the best BIM-coordinator – Alsu Khuzhina (third-year student of the Faculty of Civil Engineering);
- the best construction management engineer– Maksim Petrovsky (first-year Master's program student of the Institute of Part-Time Studies);
- the best fire safety engineer – Anastasiya Kanina (third-year student of the Faculty of Automobile and Road Building);
- the best BIM-estimator – Margarita Voronova (fourth-year student of the Faculty of Economics and Management);
- the best architect – Mercedes Tropillo (third-year student of the Faculty of Architecture);
- the best power supply engineer – Andrei Gavrilov (third-year student of the FEE&MS);
- the best designers – Adrian Belyakov (third-year student of the Faculty of Civil Engineering) and Lyubov Shekhova (third-year student of the Faculty of Civil Engineering);
- the best heating engineer – Petr Schurov (third-year student of the FEE&MS);
- the best ventilation engineer – Igor Rogal (third-year student of the FEE&MS).
Denis Nizhegorodtsev, Director of the Laboratory for Building Information Modelling, believes that the students showed good results. “I hope that this is also our, teachers' merit,” he stressed.
