SPbGASU Has Taken Part in the ‘Dictation of Victory’ Campaign

On April 29, “The Dictation of Victory” was held at SPbGASU. Irina Nuryeva, Head of the Division for Social and Extracurricular Student Activities, was the venue coordinator.

Dictation of Victory

"The Dictation of Victory" is an international historical campaign dedicated to the events of the Great Patriotic War. This year the campaign took place at 16,000 venues in 80 countries, having embraced not only universities, but also libraries, schools, national parks, training ships and meteorological stations in the Arctic zone.

“It is very important to remember and appreciate the great feat of our people. SPbGASU hosts various patriotic events on a regular basis. This is an integral part of educating young people. Our ancestors paid a high price for the freedom, happiness and prosperity of mankind, and we are very grateful to them,” said Irina Lapina, Vice Rector for Youth Policy of SPbGASU.

During the dictation, students and university staff answered 20 questions on military history arranged in the format of the Unified State Exam as well as five questions on regional topics. Several randomly selected participants who answered all the questions correctly will be able to attend the Victory Parade on the Red Square in Moscow.

“The Victory Dictation is an opportunity to assess your knowledge of those terrible events that changed the whole world. The younger generation should remember about that war and people’s heroic deeds. I took part in the event and invited my friends, too, to attract more participants to this campaign. There was a variety of complex questions in the dictation, and it got me thinking about different things,” Vladislav Tikkoev, a second-year student of Faculty of Environmental Engineering and Municipal Services, shared his impressions.

We wish good luck and excellent results to all SPbGASU students!
