SPbGASU Lecturer Visited the EXPO-2020 Exhibition

Timur Ablyazov, Associate Professor of the SPbGASU Department of Construction Economics and Housing and Utility Infrastructure, visited the EXPO-2020 exhibition in Dubai. The trip was organized as part of the research work "Application of an interdisciplinary approach to the implementation of projects to create a comfortable environment for human life in the digital economy" under a grant from the President of the Russian Federation.

“The large-scale world exhibition EXPO is held every five years, but last year it was postponed due to the pandemic. The exhibition dates back to the 19th century. For 170 years, World Expos have provided a platform to showcase the most advanced innovations from around the world. At the exhibition in Dubai, much attention is paid to modern architecture: kinetic architecture, architecture with elements of energy saving and renewable energy sources. The expositions of many pavilions are dedicated to caring for the environment, renewable energy sources, the development of digital technologies that will help to use the planet's resources more efficiently. These principles are being implemented in housing construction, the integrated development of territories, and industrial construction.

The purpose of my trip was to get acquainted with the world experience in the field of creating a comfortable environment for human life in the digital economy. I use the collected materials in my scientific research,” Timur Ablyazov shared his impressions.
