SPbGASU students are among the best at the Olympiad in Kazan
From May 16 to May 18, the Kazan State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering (KSUAE) hosted the final stage of the All-Russian Student Olympiad in the field 08.03.01 "Construction", profile "Roads, airfields and transport infrastructure facilities". Fourth-year undergraduate students of the SPbGASU Faculty of Civil Engineering Nikita Zhivnitsky and Polina Kiseleva took third place in the team standing; in the individual standings, they made the top ten.

Diploma to the participants
The Olympiad was attended by 23 students from nine universities in Russia. The competition was held in the team and the individual standings in such areas as design, construction and operation of roads.
Denis Denisenko, head of the SPbGASU team, senior lecturer of the Department of Roads, Bridges and Tunnels, noted the high level of organization of the competition. The jury members were representatives of universities participating in the Olympiad.
Nikita Zhivnitsky took part in the Olympiad to test his knowledge and communicate with students from other universities. “Test tasks and tasks were prepared for us. It was not easy, but it helped that when solving problems, it was possible to use regulatory documents, ”said Nikita.
Going to Kazan, Polina Kiseleva wanted to get a new experience, as well as get to know the city. “Some questions caused difficulties, but the knowledge gained during my studies helped me cope with the bulk of the questions and tasks. Participation in the Olympiad gave me new acquaintances and an understanding that I have room to grow,” she said.
