SPbGASU takes part in the 6th Annual National Exhibition VUZPROMEXPO-2019
On December 11-12, the 6th Annual National Exhibition VUZPROMEXPO-2019 was held in Moscow. more than a hundred leading Russian educational institutions and research centers, 26 engineering centers, research and educational centers and major Russian industrial companies contributed to the forum. SPbGASU took part in a representative forum organized by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation.

Speaking at the plenary session, the RF Minister of Science and Higher Education M. M. Kotyukov said that the discussion of the results of the implementation of the “Science” and “Education” national projects was the goal of the event.
"At the center of a national project, we always see people, we help to form teams and support their work, so that Russian promising ideas turn into Russian high technologies. We will form a spatial framework and structure for the development of a high-tech complex in Russia," said M. M. Kotyukov.
SPbGASU is among the Russian universities that implement research projects and develop educational programs with a closer integration of science and business. University scientists participated in the construction of such iconic facilities as the Lakhta Center, the second stage of the Mariinsky Theater, and Zenit Arena stadium. Researchers at SPbGASU are developing nano-modified concrete and the results of these studies were put, for example, into production and used in the construction of the Ring Road and Western High Speed Diameter in St. Petersburg, during the reconstruction of the federal highway M-20, the South-Western highway M-20, the South-Western and Southern Thermal Power Plants, the construction of the Pulkovo-3 terminal and others.
In the framework of the 6th Annual National Exhibition VUZPROMEXPO-2019, SPbGASU representatives held a round table on "Training of competent personnel in the sphere of digital construction and digital housing and communal services." The moderator of the round table was Director of Institute of Part-Time Studies E. B. Alexandrova, and the speakers were the Dean of the Faculty of Environmental Engineering and Municipal Services I. I. Sukhanova, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Management V.V. Vinogradova, and Assistant Professor of the Department of Metal and Timber Constructions D.V. Nizhegorodtsev.
The University staff introduced the scientific achievements of SPbGASU in the field of digital construction and housing and communal services to representatives of Russian universities, industrial companies and the media, spoke about the educational programs implemented at the university, as well as BIM-elective courses and SPbGASU BIM-championships.
✔ The results of the pilot project “Information Model of an Existing Housing and Utility Sector Objective at the Example of St. Petersburg”, commissioned by the St. Petersburg State Center for Energy Saving, Committee on Energy and Engineering of the Government of St. Petersburg, were presented.
The round table participants were interested in the aspects on the practical application of BIM-technologies, on standardization in the field of BIM-technologies, as well as the organization of the SPbGASU BIM-championship.
According to the SPbGASU rector E.I. Rybnov, the educational process should be built with the account of needs of the time. The university is making every effort to train qualified specialists with all the competencies necessary for the modern construction industry.
SPbGASU is actively working on the implementation of the "Science" and "Education" national projects, integrating the scientific developments of university scientists into the practical activities of St. Petersburg companies.
