Within the framework of the forum, nine sections worked in relevant areas related to the prevention of drug dependence. I.V. Nuryeva and T.Yu. Yarulina from the SPbGASU Department of Social and Extracurricular Work with Students participated in the event.
Overview of Forum Topics
In the framework of the “Self-realization of adolescents and youth in the urban space as a method of primary prevention of drug addiction” section, N. Bondarenko, Deputy Head of the 12th Investigation Department of the Drug Traffic Control Directorate of the Main Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation for St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region, spoke about the estimates of drug situations in the urban environment and raised the issue of creating a general preventive space. Youth organizations presented successful practices, new forms and modern models of working with the “risk groups”.
Participants of the section on the “Strategy for creating an up-to-date informational preventive product” discussed issues of self-realization of the young generation, examples of creating successful and productive teams, and the impact of mass media on people.
The round table named “Interagency cooperation in the context of the development of integrated primary prevention segments” brought together representatives of relevant committees and the non-profit sector in the field of primary prevention of drug addiction. The main purpose of the event was to determine the interaction of urban structures that organize preventive activities among adolescents and youth.
Participants’ impressions
“Such forums are necessary as an integral part of solving this problem. It is very important to look for new approaches, methods, share best practices, combine the efforts of various structures for the prevention of drug dependence,” T.Yu. Yarulina shared her impressions.
“The need to attract as many students as possible to public life was the main message of the entire forum. We try to organize the most interesting extracurricular life. So, for example, in the SPbGASU dormitory, there is a Brick Club, where everyone can find something for their liking,” I.V. Nuryeva said.
