SPbGASU took part in the congress of builders of St. Petersburg

The congress was supported by the Government of St. Petersburg and the Russian Union of Builders. The event was organized by the Union of Construction Associations and Organizations. The forum was attended by representatives of construction companies, authorities of St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region, sectoral public organizations, specialized universities and the media.
The congress was opened by the governor of St. Petersburg Alexander Beglov, who spoke about the development of housing construction, of a comfortable environment for city residents and of social facilities in the Northern capital. The Governor presented the representatives of the construction industry with badges for labor achievements: Alexander Zheliostov, the CEO of Design and Construction Bureau ZhilStroy LLC, and Alexander Kazakov, a sling operator of JSC Operations office No. 18, were awarded.

✔ Irina Kosova, director of the St. Petersburg Public Autonomous Agency "State Expertise Center", was awarded the Ministry of Construction's letter of appreciation, Elena Pravdina, Head of the Structures Department of the State Expertise Center, was awarded the letter of appreciation by the Governor of St. Petersburg.
✔ Denis Gordienko, the manager of OOO SU-17, was awarded the Badge of Honor "To the Builder of St. Petersburg", 3rd degree.
President of the Russian Union of Builders Vladimir Yakovlev in his speech highlighted the topical issues of the industry development dwelling upon its prospects.
Rashid Mangushev, representing SPbGASU, told the audience about today's university, which is celebrating its 190th anniversary next year, and amplified upon the issues and prospects of professional higher education. “We need real and more active support from construction companies in organizing students' training practices, the participation of construction companies in updating curricula,” he said.
Dmitry Volodin, Vice President of the Etalon Group in St. Petersburg, devoted his report to the experience of using information modeling technologies in construction. “The construction industry, as one of the most conservative, needs innovations that will make it possible to bring the development product as close as possible to the needs of modern buyers. Digitalization in construction creates a huge potential for development and is in line with the country's strategic plans. From a designer’s tool, information modeling technologies have now turned into a key tool for implementing an investment and construction project,” the expert emphasized.
During the second part of the congress - the general meeting of the Union of Construction Associations and Organizations, a number of organizational issues were resolved. At the suggestion of Vladimir Yakovlev, Alexander Vakhmistrov was unanimously elected the president of the professional association.
