SPbGASU Took Part in the ‘Student Spring’
The regional stage of the ‘Student Spring’ creativity festival, organized among institutions of higher and secondary professional education, ended in St. Petersburg on April 30.
“Student Spring” is a large-scale programme that has been bringing together creative youth from all over Russia for 29 years. The festival includes 80 regional, 10 all-Russian and four international events.
The aim of the programme is to support student creativity, preserve and popularize the cultural heritage of the peoples of Russia, use the country's cultural potential to form its positive image abroad.
More than 60 students defended the honour of SPbGASU at the event, including the university dance and singing groups Made'IRA (2nd prize in the Pop Dance category); ArchiTech (3rd place in the Street Dance competition); BACKSHOTcrew and the vocal ensemble of SPbGASU.
✔ Not all participants managed to win prizes, but all of them demonstrated a high level of dedication.
“We began preparations for the contest in February. Many hours were spent in the dance hall honing the moves and bringing them to perfection,” told Maria Lyubetskaya, choreographer and stage director of BACKSHOTcrew. According to her, despite the fact that this time luck wasn’t on their side, the team members do not lose heart and continue working on improvements. “The event turned out to be bright and memorable, and we have an incentive to come back here again and take our prize,” added Maria.
“Students’ creative fulfilment is among priorities for SPbGASU, one of the key tasks required to train highly qualified and socially responsible professionals.”
