On 23rd August, 2017 a ceremony of rewarding winners of an annual competition «Architectural shape of socially significant public spaces of Leningrad region» took place. A concept of a park accomplishment in the city of Volkhov, developed by a design group of SPSUACE together with the administration of Volkhov municipal area, won the second place in a nomination « Best project of an accomplishment of socially significant public spaces of the city ». The main architect of the project and the head of the design group was a senior lecturer of the Chair of Design of Architectural Environment.

The competition purpose - to raise quality of a living environment in urban and rural settlements of Leningrad region, appeal of settlements of Leningrad region to inhabitants, tourists and investors. 23 municipal unions of Leningrad region took part in the Competition.
