At the end of October 2024, within the framework of the cooperation agreement, a delegation of teachers from the Tashkent University of Architecture and Civil Engineering (TASU) from the Republic of Uzbekistan visited the St Petersburg State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering.
The delegation included representatives of several departments of the university: Head of the Department of Management Dilfuza Berdieva, Associate Professor at the Department of Economics and Real Estate Karima Tashmukhamedova, Associate Professor at the Department of Management Ezoza Khaidarova, Associate Professor at the Department of Urban Infrastructure Barno Mutalova, Senior Lecturer at the Department of Urban Infrastructure Kamilla Abdullaeva, Associate Professor at the Department of Engineering Geomatics Yulia Romanyuk and Associate Professor at the Department of Engineering Geomatics Doniyor Khalilov. The purpose of the visit was an introductory internship for TASU employees and teachers to study SPbGASU's best practices of scientific and educational activities and develop partnerships.
The internship program for representatives of the TASU Departments of Management, Real Estate Economics and Urban Infrastructure included a visit to the SPbGASU Scientific and Technical Library, the University history museum, the St Petersburg Brick History museum, laboratories, departments of the SPbGASU Faculty of Economics and Management. The head of the Scientific and Technical Library Elena Romanova introduced the guests to student works of past years, archival materials containing the developments of scientists and teachers of the university, and told about the fates of the students of the Construction School/Institute of Civil Engineers (SPbGASU), who had a significant impact on the appearance of Tashkent. The director of the History Information Center Elena Klimenko acquainted the TASU representatives with the history of the SPbGASU formation and development and its role in the field of construction and architecture.
The guests attended lectures, practical and laboratory classes, in particular, a lecture by the head of the Department of Construction Economics and Housing and Utility Infrastructure Veronika Asaul on the subject "Economics of Innovative Activity in Construction", a practical class by Associate Professor at the Department of Management in Construction Aleksandr Kharitonovich on the subject "Project Management in Construction", a practical class by Senior Lecturer at the Department of Management in Construction Marina Egorova on the subject "Social Interaction", a practical class by Senior Lecturer at the Department of Construction Economics and Housing and Utility Infrastructure Artemy Taranov on the subject "Taxes and Taxation".
Together with the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Management Galina Tokunova, the Head of the Department of Management in Construction Natalia Pletneva and the Head of the Department of Construction Economics and Housing and Utility Infrastructure Veronika Asaul, TASU representatives discussed promising areas of joint activities in the educational and scientific spheres and identified promising areas for the development of cooperation.
At the meeting with Vice-Rector for Educational Activity Sergey Mikhailov, the internship participants exchanged views on the internship content and possible areas for developing relations. The meeting discussed issues of improving teaching methods, organizing summer schools, organizing webinars and master classes, student and teacher exchanges, holding joint conferences and seminars, and many others.
As Sergey Mikhailov noted, the cooperation agreement with TASU was concluded back in 2006, and is currently undergoing a new stage of implementation, contributing to the strengthening of international ties between the two leading educational centers in the field of architecture and construction in Russia and Uzbekistan.
The TASU representatives thanked the SPbGASU management and faculty represeentatives for organizing the introductory internship. Dilfuza Berdieva, in her gratitude to the SPbGASU team, noted: "Dear colleagues, thank you very much for your close-knit, friendly team, which you gladly accepted us into. It is comfortable and easy to work with you, which is quite important and necessary for effective work. Thanks to our joint efforts, we have created a unique tandem - not only hardworking, but also very cheerful!"
