What should a perfect workplace be like? This question was addressed to students of SPbGASU by Artem Frolov, the project manager for the development of youth programs from the company Pridex, who gave a lecture at our university on 6 December. The meeting was organized by the SPbGASU Center for Student Entrepreneurship and Career.

Pridex provides a full range of services for the design, construction and engineering of commercial real estate facilities, implements objects in the Design&Build format - from design to commissioning of the site, and also acts as a general contractor. Over 10 years of operation, the company has implemented more than 300 projects - including offices for VK, Xiaomi, Sber, HeadHunter and other large companies.

According to Artem Frolov, a perfect workspace has many components: the facilities to work remotely, silence, modern multimedia, conditions for having a snack and taking a nap. The office today competes with home comfort, and a modern workspace must respond to these challenges.

“People spend most of their time at work, so a human-centric approach to organizing workspaces is increasingly developing,” the speaker emphasized.

Pridex has embodied its experience in implementing and digitalizing fit-out projects (a set of services for creating a project and implementing it on a turnkey basis by one company) in the format of a finished product of a modern technological service office – Multispace, which is a set of flexible interior and digital solutions aimed at increasing the level of employee comfort and business efficiency. In this project, a person is the axis around which a mobile infrastructure, work and social processes are built. The key areas are those that take into account the psychotypes of employees and the points of intersection of types of activities.

The lecture participants learned about flexible architecture, the efficiency of workspace arrangements, the management of the digital office environment and space, and the collection of analytics on its use at different levels.

Pridex sent its representative to our university for the first time. And from 2025, SPbGASU students will have the opportunity to join the company's large-scale projects for undergoing practices and internships.

"We have a very large base of innovative solutions in the field of construction and architecture. We will be glad to see SPbGASU students, because your university is the flagship of architectural and construction education," said Artem Frolov.

The event was commented on by Aleksey Khegay, Head of the SPbGASU Department of Reinforced Concrete and Masonry Constructions: "The staff of the Department of Reinforced Concrete and Masonry Constructions is actively engaged in career guidance work with its students, striving to prepare them for successful professional activity. Representatives of leading companies in the industry regularly attend classes, sharing their experience and knowledge, helping future specialists to better understand various aspects of the profession. These meetings not only enrich students with information, but also open up opportunities for employment in prestigious companies.

Invited experts participating in career guidance events explain in an accessible manner and using specific examples what exactly students will be doing if they choose their company. Thanks to such meetings, SPbGASU students, possessing talents and a desire for development, get a unique chance to become part of the professional community and find their place in the construction industry."

Veronika Nikiticheva, Deputy Director of the SPbGASU Center for Student Entrepreneurship and Career, spoke about the areas of work: “We provide career consultations, help with CV writing, finding internships and permanent jobs. We support project activities as part of supporting student technological entrepreneurship. We also organize career events where students have the opportunity to meet leading industry partners.”
