On 4 August, the Ministry of Construction of Russia awarded the winners of the VII All-Russian open competition with international participation "TIM LEADERS 2022/23". The participants of the ceremony were greeted by the Minister of Construction and Housing and Public Utilities of Russia Irek Fayzullin and the Chairman of the Public Council under the Ministry of Construction of Russia Sergey Stepashin. Commemorative prizes and diplomas were presented by First Deputy Minister of Construction and Housing Aleksandr Lomakin, President of the Association "National Association of Organizations in the Field of Information Modeling Technologies" (NOTIM) Mikhail Viktorov and Rector of the Moscow State University of Civil Engineering (NRU MGSU) Pavel Akimov.

In the nomination "Student projects using information modeling in residential buildings", the SPbGASU team with the project "Inclusive residential complex "INCLUDE"" took second place.

The team included students Mercedes Tropillo (Faculty of Architecture), Adrian Belyakov (Faculty of Civil Engineering), Petr Shchurov, Igor Rogal, Aleksandra Svetlitskaya and Konstantin Timukov (Faculty of Environmental Engineering and Municipal Services), Maria Tegay (Faculty of Economics and Management). The project leaders are Inna Sukhanova, Dean of the FEE&MS, and Nikita Gorovoy, Assistant at the Department of Information Systems and Technologies.

Igor Rogal presented the project at the VII All-Russian Conference "Best Practices in Information Modeling Technologies in Russia", which was held on 2-3 August as part of the "TIM LEADERS 2022/23" competition summing up.

“It was breathtaking! It was interesting to listen to the presentations of not only construction companies, but also companies developing software for the construction industry,” Igor Rogal shared his impressions.

The Expert Council noted the high professional level of work. The concept of the residential building is based on three principles.

The first is sustainable development. The design used materials obtained from recycled waste. For example, glass elements and rubber coatings of the platforms are made of them. Energy-efficient solutions were used in each section of the project: reducing the load on the heating system, using heat recovery in ventilation systems, energy-saving lamps with motion sensors.

The second is an active social life in the house: a public library, sculpture and art workshops, as well as a winter garden, wh ere gardening can be done all year round, are designed in the facility. These spaces help strengthen the neighborhood community.

The third principle is inclusion. For groups of citizens with limited mobility, specially equipped apartments and workshops for rehabilitation are provided. People with disabilities can find employment in the inclusive cafe on the ground floor.

Congratulations to our winning team and wishes of continued success!

The competition has been held since 2016 with the support of the Ministry of Construction of Russia at the initiative of NOTIM and the Digitalization Commission of the Public Council under the Ministry of Construction of Russia. This year, 190 projects from almost all regions of the country were sent for the competition in 12 nominations. The Expert Council shortlisted 34 projects and 12 student papers from 19 regions.
