Reconstruction project of the territory along the Obukhovskoy Oborony avenue in St Petersburg Open in high resolution
SPbGASU students under the guidance of the head of the Department of Urban Planning Yulia Yankovskaya, associate professor Oksana Peslyak and senior lecturer Olga Tsepilova developed a project for the reconstruction of the territory along Obukhovskoy Oborony Avenue in St Petersburg.
“The project was completed by the instructions of the Committee for Urban Planning and Architecture of St Petersburg as part of the policy development for the transformation of former industrial and adjacent territories of JSC Nevsky Zavod. The students presented their vision of how to ensure a balance of residential development, social infrastructure, public and recreational spaces, as well as how to organize the connection of the territory with the Neva, provide for a change in transport infrastructure after the appearance of the Smolensky bridge and a new exit from the Elizarovskaya metro station. I will especially emphasize the correctness of the students' work in the historical environment and excellent graphic interpretations of the environmental approach - for this competition, it was the architectural and environmental solution, its design and landscape study that turned out to be critical, ”said Yulia Yankovskaya.
Such a high assessment inspired the guys to continue their project activities and further participation in competitions, and for Sergey Rogulev it became another achievement: in 2022 he was declared the winner in this nomination, in 2021 he took second place. The jury also noted the professionalism of the teachers. So, Yulia Yankovskaya was awarded a letter of gratitude for highly professional expert work on the jury and assistance in the development of students' artistic creativity. Yulia Yankovskaya, Oksana Peslyak and Olga Tsepilova were awarded diplomas of laureates in the Design Education nomination.
