On 14th April, 2017 the Х International competition «Macaroni builder» ended at the St.-Petersburg state university of architecture and civil engineering.

For two days participants of the competition erected structures from macaroni and sculptural plasticine. 9 towers and 4 bridges sustained a test of time. «Probably, it is due to difficult weather conditions in our city», - members of the competitive jury joked. Gathered in the Academic council boardroom contestants and fans waited excitedly for the announcement of results of the competition in which it was required to show considerable creative imagination, a will to win, knowledge in the field of architectural designing and building. Winners of the competition were met by a storm of applause.

In a nomination "Tower" a victory was gained by:

I place - a team "Gelendzhik" (SPSUACE, St.-Petersburg);

II place - a team named after Dmitry Mitrofanovich (the Belarusian National Technical University, Minsk);

III place - a team «Hands shiver» (Vologda State University, Vologda).

The most original macaroni "rocket" was recognized the work of the team of Ufa State Petroleum Technological University (Ufa).   

Winners in a nomination "Bridges":

I place - a team "Shuhovtsy" (Belgorod State Technological University, Belgorod);

II place - a team named after Dmitry Mitrofanovich (the Belarusian National Technical University, Minsk);

III place - a team «Macaroni from firm grades» (SPSUACE, St.-Petersburg).

The best pedestrian bridge was recognized the work of the team ССО "Foxes" (SPSUACE, St.-Petersburg).

Other participants of the competition received consolation prizes. The assistant to the general director of SRO NP «Association of builders of St.-Petersburg» B.I.Lysich handed over diplomas and gifts to pupils of a building class of school № 109, having invited the future and present students to an industrial practice.
