Teachers in my memory
Teaching is a great and respected profession. A teacher is a mentor who is directly involved in the growth of each student and puts his soul, strength and love into them. I myself was a student of two higher educational institutions. I was very lucky that I had the opportunity to study at the Henan Urban University of China and at the St Petersburg State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering (SPbGASU).

SPbGASU left warm memories of my first student years in Russia. I can proudly say that there are many respected teachers at SPbGASU, my first Russian university. It was a great honor for me to meet Svetlana Semyonovna Shuvalova, Yuri Vyacheslavovich Stolbikhin and Svyatoslav Viktorovich Fedorov. They became not only my teachers at the university, but also tutors in my life. I distinctly remember that six years ago I was fortunate enough to hear an introductory lecture about their professional courses. Their lectures were not only informative, but also full of positive emotions and warmth...
On May 23, 2016, Svetlana Semyonovna Shuvalova from SPbGASU visited Henan Urban Planning University with a four-day lecture. She spoke about St Petersburg and SPbGASU, as well as courses in the discipline "descriptive geometry". Her classes intrigued me a lot. Svetlana Semyonovna was very kind during the conversation with us. This way of teaching is undoubtedly very attractive to students. I was intrigued by the questions she asked in class.
While thinking about the answers to these questions, I began to dream about going to Russia, living and studying there
After the class, I explained my answers to her and described my understanding of the topic. Not only did she give me high marks, but she also told us about her own learning experience, which was of great benefit to me.
Since then, I have acquired a new understanding of the discipline "descriptive geometry". Svetlana Semyonovna once said: "You repeat the old, you learn the new." This phrase made an indelible impression on me. And indeed: returning to the material covered, we are able to consider it from the other side and ask new questions.
On May 8, 2017, Yuri Vyacheslavovich and Svyatoslav Viktorovich visited Henan Urban University to talk about such disciplines as: fluid mechanics, technical hydrodynamics and methods for predicting water quality. During the visit, they viewed the sedimentation tanks and other wastewater treatment equipment at Qingyuan, a water treatment research company in Pingdingshan City. Exchanged views with the company's technical staff, and held in-depth discussions and analysis of differences in wastewater treatment processes between China and Russia. Based on this, I determined the direction of research for my future master's thesis: "Requirements and technologies for obtaining drinking water quality in China." During the lecture, I discovered that there are differences of approaches between China and Russia in this area. I absorbed new ideas and summarized the experience for my future research topics. At the end of the course, Svyatoslav Viktorovich gave me a book: "Diversion and treatment of wastewater in St Petersburg." The words of this book are like gold and have an extremely high academic value..
In September 2019, I began my studies at SPbGASU and eventually became a master in the specialty "Water supply and sanitation" at the faculty of environmental engineering and municipal services (FEE&MS). My supervisor, Yuri Vyacheslavovich Stolbikhin, gave me a lot of care and support, which helped me gain in-depth professional knowledge.
I have published a number of scientific papers in the field of BIM, Russian drinking water treatment technology and trenchless pipeline repair technology. In addition, I have mastered professional computer software tools such as Epanet 2.0, Revit, Mathlab, Ansys, etc. In December 2020, under the guidance of Yuri Vyacheslavovich, I underwent professional training as part of the TransDOCSUM project, funded by the EU consortium EIT Raw Material under the program Horizon-2020. At the beginning of 2021, on the recommendation of Yuri Vyacheslavovich, I got the opportunity to go for an internship at KitayStroy LLC, where I was engaged in translations on the subject of electromechanical equipment. After the internship, I was highly appreciated by the leaders of the company. The company and this project received the "Most Reliable Construction Enterprise in Russia 2021" award. It was a great honor for me to be invited to a concert in honor of the 20th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty of Good Neighborliness, Friendship and Cooperation between the Russian Federation and the People's Republic of China.
Time goes fast. "After going through many hardships, I finally became a butterfly." SPbGASU and its teachers will always be a beacon, a spiritual support and a source of strength on my path. Teachers are people who have remarkable patience and are filled with love for their profession. When we stand on top of a dream, they are happy and proud of us from the bottom of their hearts.
I am proud that I studied at SPbGASU, and I will try not to deceive the expectations of my teachers so that SPbGASU is proud of me.
The stream flows with longing for the sea; the green leaf is full of gratitude to the big tree; the blessing is full of love for the university. One hundred and ninety years of achievement and glory.
On the occasion of the SPbGASU 190th anniversary, we jointly wish a better future! Looking forward to a brilliant tomorrow together!
Let's build the future together!
