More than 40 speakers took part in the breakout sessions, including specialists in the field of labour protection, students and teachers from more than 20 universities in Russia, Indonesia, Georgia and France.
On the second day, a field event took place at the SPbGASU educational ground "Krasnoe Selo". The guests of the Smart Labour training site were given an excursion and a demonstration of training modules in a VR environment, after which a round table discussion “Digital solutions in the field of labour safety” and a presentation of the innovative educational project “Modern educational technologies to ensure labour safety in the construction industry” were held.
The key topic of discussion was the cooperation between SPbGASU and industry companies in the field of labour protection and industrial safety. So, Dmitry Klykov, project manager for the promotion of personal protective equipment against falls from a height of JSC Trade House "Vostok-Service", noted that “effective training in the methods and techniques of working at height is already impossible to imagine without practical skills development. We are pleased to support a project aimed at improving the safety of workers in the construction industry by donating personal protective equipment for working at heights for their effective use in the training process. We wish the "Smart Labour" project the development and speedy commissioning of the training ground for practicing use of skills in working at heights."
Irina Belova, executive director of the SRO association "Unified Center for Labour Protection Specialists", which supported the creation of the Smart Labour training site, noted: "According to the government decree "On the procedure for training in labour protection", training in the use of PPE is required if employees work in personal protective equipment, the use of which demands practical skills. Thus, the development of the Smart Labour test site will be successful with an increase in the number of practical training modules aimed at training workers in the practical skills of using personal protective equipment.”
