On 11th December, 2017 the actions devoted to the Day of Fatherland Heroes were held in the St.-Petersburg state university of architecture and civil engineering.

The Day of Fatherland Heroes is celebrated in our country on 9th December, This commemorative date is established in honor of initiation in 1769 the Order of St. George - the higher award of the Russian empire which was awarded to military men of the Russian army for valor shown on fields of battles, and also for service in military ranks.

This day is to honor those who defend the Native land, who carry out duty selflessly and fairly.

A quiz about the Great Patriotic War, organized by the history and philosophy department, was held on the balustrade of the main building of SPSUACE. Also the chief executive of "Victory  Volunteers”  M.Smyvin read a lecture on which he acquainted students with activity of this public movement.
