The defense of complex graduation TIM-projects took place
As part of the educational project "Innovative Methods for Forming Digital Professional Competences of Students and Construction Industry Specialists", SPbGASU hosted the defense of complex team graduation TIM projects. This is the first experience for our university, which received the status of a federal innovation platform in May 2022.

In total, two teams of bachelor's degree graduate students from the faculty of environmental engineering and municipal services and the faculty of civil engineering took part in the new format for the preparation of the FQWs. The first team worked on a hotel project in Kronstadt. Team list:
- Olga Gritsenko (BIM coordination, design concepts);
- Timur Sukhov (design concepts);
- Ekaterina Shevtsova (heating and ventilation);
- Andrey Anikin (domestic heating unit);
- Tatiana Kipich (water supply and sanitation);
- Yury Uglenko (electricity supply).
The second team worked on a project for an apartment building in St Petersburg. Team list:
- Maksim Khamidulin (BIM coordination, heating and ventilation);
- Denis Kabailov (design concepts);
- Anton Timoshkov (ventilation);
- Anna Ivanova (water supply and sanitation);
- Yury Fadeev (electricity supply).
The projects were carried out by students using information modeling tools, and the result of their work was digital information models of these buildings with interconnected engineering networks and building structures. This corresponds to the work of the design organization in practice.

Each section of the complex project was carried out in the form of a separate FQW, and the students successfully passed the defense at their graduating departments. The implementation of individual sections was carried out by students simultaneously.
The students were supervised by: associate professor at the department of electrical power energetics and equipment Aleksandr Epishkin, head of the department of geotechnics Rashid Mangushev, director of the laboratory of building information models Denis Nizhegorodtsev, associate professor at the department of heat and gas supply and ventilation Viktor Pukhkal, associate professor at the department of reinforced concrete and masonry constructions Igor Rudny, deputy dean for academic affairs Yury Stolbikhin, senior lecturer at the department of heat and gas supply and ventilation Kirill Sukhanov, dean of the faculty of environmental engineering and municipal services Inna Sukhanova and head of the department of metal and timber constructions Aleksandr Chernykh.
On June 28, the graduates prepared and held a presentation of their joint work to representatives of the professional community, members of the specialized SEC and teachers of SPbGASU. The teams were asked questions both on specific sections and on topical issues of organizing teamwork. The students noted that despite the increased labour intensity compared to the traditional form of preparation for the FQW, they are glad to participate in this event because of the proximity to real practice.
As a result of the defense, students and their supervisors were awarded certificates and memorable gifts.
