The development of the RAASN was discussed at SPbGASU
On November 8, 2019, a general assembly of the Northwest Territorial Branch of the Russian Academy of Architecture and Building Sciences (RAASN) was held in the meeting room of the SPbGASU Scientific Council. The main topics of the discussion were the further development and preparation for the election of the President of the Academy, which will be held on December 19 - 20, 2019.

The assembly was attended by the Acting President of the RAASN, Academician of RAASN Vladimir I. Travush; First Vice-President of RAASN, Academician of the RAASN, President of MSCEU Valery I. Telichenko; Academician of the RAASN Andrey V. Bokov. SPbGASU was represented by the honorary member of RAASN, Rector Evgeny I. Rybnov, vice-rector for scientific work Irina Drozdova and university professors.
What was discussed
The assembly began with the certificate delivery ceremony: Yury V. Pukharenko, RAASN Corresponding Member, and Tatyana A. Slavina, RAASN Academician were awarded for the great contribution to the development of science. Further, the acting president of RAASN, Academician Vladimir I. Travush reported on the current state of affairs.
✔ Corresponding Member of RAASN Sergey D. Mityagin spoke about the problem of multi-structure urban development and the role of research institutes in solving them.
✔ The academicians of the RAASN, Yuri P. Panibratov and Mikhail A. Mamoshin informed about the network of branches of the RAASN in the Northwestern Federal District and proposed to actively include representatives of the architectural, urban planning and construction community of the region in the work of the RAASN. According to the speakers, the formation of the network will make it possible to find common ground with business structures and regional authorities.
✔ Academician Andrei V. Bokov considered the option of integrating the RAASN and RAS and expressed ideas for expanding the circle of advisers.
✔ Academician Valery I. Telichenko proposed to establish a “youth wing” of the RAASN, develop “network” interaction, switch to project management, enter the media space, create a system of trusteeship and sponsorship, state and regional partnerships.
