In January, 2017 the first issue of «Architectural almanac» published by the St.-Petersburg state university of architecture and civil engineering was released. Articles of the SPSUACE teachers, prominent architects, public figures are presented in the almanac.

«SPSUACE as the oldest civil engineering high school of the country, going to celebrate its 185 anniversary, can justly apply for a role of one of leaders in noble and so necessary business of historic-architectural education», - its editor-in-chief, the professor of the Chair of History and  theory of architecture of SPSUACE, the doctor of architecture, professor Svetozar Pavlovich Zavarihin wrote in the preface to the edition.

The almanac genre allows to consider historic-architectural process in complex, under different corners, creating an overall picture from separate fragments. Therefore the almanac materials are of interest not only for experts, but also for the widest audience. Articles are focused on various aspects of history and theory of architecture: readers will find here biographic sketches and the analysis of concrete architectural objects, will get known with problems of development of historical cities and deep theoretical researches. All articles are supplied by numerous illustrations and photos.
