The organization of construction production discussed at SPbGASU

For the second time, our university, one of the oldest technical universities in the country, hosts Russian scientists engaged in the organization of construction production. On February 4, 2020, the Second All-Russian Scientific Conference on this topic took start at SPbGASU.

Conference participants

“The conference is attended by many young specialists - graduate and postgraduates students. It is for today's graduates to come to work in production in the near future, so it is essential for us to transfer the knowledge and necessary for their further work information. Production must be based on scientific results. Only the joint development of production and science can bring success,” believes Ch.O. Bakhtinova, executive editor of the conference articles collection, associate professor at the SPbGASU Construction Organization Department.

She also said that the participants of the conference had prepared 40 scientific articles, and about 30 papers are to be presented.

The topics of the papers relate to such issues as the negative impact of construction on the environment and measures of environmental protection in construction (associate professor L.V. Volkova and graduate student M.S. Krylova, SPbGASU); modern energy-saving technologies and methods of energy saving in construction (associate professor E.P. Gorbaneva, graduates S.V. Yeskov, N.V. Kanshina, Yu.V. Shevchenko, Voronezh State Technical University); mathematical methods and models for optimizing work schedules for the production programs in the construction industry (graduate student A.Yu. Yurgaitis, Moscow State University of Civil Engineering), and others.

Associate Professor of St. Petersburg State University of Railways A.V. Kabanov in his report addressed not only organizational and technological solutions for the construction and reconstruction of railway sorting complexes, but also the urgent problems of the lack of instructions for dismantling operations, even despite the fact that such works are being carried out today in huge numbers

✔ The speaker urged scientists to join forces in developing the necessary instructions, which caused a lively response from the audience.

The development of planning methods and risk control in construction was considered by associate professor S.V. Bovteyev and graduate student D.A. Zhivotyagin. The authors are sure that any construction, even in the case of standard design projects, is the creation of a new product. Any construction, reconstruction or overhaul project, depending on the terms of reference, is associated with the occurrence of risks at all stages of the project life cycle. At the same time, the regulatory legal acts of the Russian Federation provide for restrictions on the construction time (it is justified in the design documentation and agreed by the experts during its examination), as well as the cost laid down for unforeseen expenses (the so-called contingencies). Such factors impose restrictions on the design; therefore, it is necessary to develop tools that would allow staying within the imposed limits.

✔ S.V. Bovteyev and D.A. Zvyazyagin proposed a three-dimensional model of risk events for more successful project implementation.

The conference will continue on February 5.
